On May 30, 2026, the Showing Violin Master Class, sponsored by Franz Sandner, was successfully held at Teaching Building No. 1 of Zhejiang University.

Master Class in Session

The event featured Professor Xia Xiaocao, a distinguished violinist and educator who serves as Associate Dean of the School of Music at Shanghai University. Following a rigorous online selection process, 76 violin students from across the country were selected to attend the master class in person at Zhejiang University, where they received direct instruction from Professor Xia.During the session, Professor Xia provided individualized guidance to a number of students.

In the afternoon, an outdoor ensemble performance took place, during which all participating students joined Professor Xia in performing "Why Are the Flowers So Red." The performance was documented at Qiushi Grand Lecture Hall and the South Gate Lawn of Zhejiang University, creating memorable musical moments.

The event also included a complimentary violin inspection and hands-on experience session, with professional consultation provided by a senior luthier from Franz Sandner. Attendees had the opportunity to try a selection of Franz Sandner violins, ranging from student-level to master series instruments.
